NextGen at the Jewish Community Federation of Louisville is proud to offer either $180 Micro-Grants to empower Jewish young adults (ages 21-45) and small organizations to create and host community-building programs that foster Jewish connection, identity, and engagement. These grants are designed to support grassroots initiatives, including (but not limited to) group Shabbat dinners, social outings, arts & culture programs, wellness events, and Jewish learning experiences. Funding cannot be used for private functions or family celebrations.
Requirements:
- Applicants may be individuals or small organizations.
- Programs target Jewish young adults in the Louisville area, ages 21-45 (NextGen age).
- Programs need to align with NextGen's mission to build a vibrant, inclusive, connected Jewish Community.
- NextGen Gather Grant branding and/or messaging included in materials and messaging (flyers, posts, opening remarks, etc)
Application Process:
1. Complete the application form below.
2. Submit the completed application 3-6 weeks before your program date.
3. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and grant recipients will be notified within 5 business days of submission.
4. Within 10 days following the program, host is required to complete the event reporting form-- sharing details, receipts of purchases, and photos/videos-- to be reimbursed.

Please explain how you will use Gather Grant funds. Include the following in your response: How do you plan to use the funds (food, venue, etc)? Do you have other outside event funding sources (other organizations, sponsorships, etc)? If so, please describe. Will you charge guests to attend your event? If so, approximately how much? If your project does not receive the full funding requested, will/how will you be able to hold your event?
What is the goal of the program/event/activity? How will you define success?
How will your event foster Jewish identity, engagement, and community while strengthening connections within the Louisville Jewish community?
How do you plan to promote and build awareness for your event, and who do you plan to collaborate with to make it successful? Please include any individuals, groups, or organizations involved, as well as any support you may need from Federation staff (e.g., social media promotion, Evite creation, etc.; please note that graphic design support may be limited).

Post-Program Follow-Up:
Grant recipients are expected to submit a brief reflection within 10 days after their program. This should include photos, number of participants, contact information for participants (if agreed upon), receipts of purchases, highlights, and any feedback.
